The Hong Kong Schools Music Festival has made outstanding achievements over the years. In fulfilling its missions, the Festival nurtures young music talents and allows music seeds to keep spreading among schools in Hong Kong. The Festival gathers music elites from Hong Kong schools, ranging from kindergartens to secondary schools; it features a variety of performances including Chinese and Western instrumental music as well as singing performance. The audience will be immersed in the high quality performances of the student contestants.
The Music Festival has reached its 66th with students participating in 328 classes of competitions. As usual, the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association has invited experts from all over the world to be adjudicators. The 49 adjudicators are distinguished music educators, musicians or maestros.
Let’s Music, a programme of 15 half-hour episodes, will present to the audience the fabulous performances of the music festival winners. They will also share their feelings during the competitions as well as their experiences in learning music. The two programme hosts, Wong Jing and CMgroovy, are young music makers. They will pass on some music knowledge in the programme with a view to enhancing the audience’s interest in music.
